March Feb 2010 update New Director Mr. Moschitta has been on board now for almost a year. During that time, the Union has been obliged to file numerous Step Two Grievances on behalf of the members. We are pleased to say that we have had positive responses to most matters to date. While there are still matters pending, in particular, an ability to respond to emergency calls on the grounds, we are actively working to resolve the issue to the benefit of the facility with the least impact on the staff involved. This is a complex matter that involves multiple services. NFFE along with the two AFGE Locals continue to pursue the matter actively Vacancy Announcements Rich Thomesen continues to follow all the openings that are placed in PVA and forwards them to all members on a regular basis. We encourage you to watch for Rich's messages. We have had a number of inquiries about some positions and why they were given to new hires, it seems current employees are simply not putting in for them. We do our best to get these opportunities out, please read your emails and check PVA! Back Pay? Website will close shortly - notification was sent out to all the membership.
